What we will not do
Least privilege
A role scoped to backup and restore operations, gated behind an external ID. No console user, no long-lived keys.
Stays in your region
Restores happen in your account and your region. The control plane records metadata about the drill, not your data.
Nothing is deleted
The audit reads your existing backups and writes only the throwaway restore it cleans up. Your retention is untouched.
